A part-time, paid, self-employed contract with Blanchland Community Development Organisation (BCDO)

You’d work an average about 1 day/week until the end of the project in December 2024, but with peaks and troughs depending on the project activities.

The 6As of Blanchland are: Archaeology, Archives, Acoustics, Artists & Audiences in an Abbey

The contract will involve:

  • supporting local people to develop and deliver their ideas & activities;
  • communicating with local people and volunteers through the newsletter, social media and in person at events and meetings;
  • recruiting and supporting new volunteers;
  • data collection on participation, events and engagement;
  • organising community events making sure they run well & enjoyably.

Ideally, we’d like to employ someone from the upper Derwent valley parishes area to embed the knowledge and experience developed through the project into the local community.
