Great news, we have now rescheduled this event after the cancellation. Now on Thursday 7th March.
As it’s been a little while since our last community events, we thought it would be good to have some relaxed (free) community evenings in the Village Hall, Long Room (Felons Bar).
A series of 4 evenings – each will be an opportunity to look at a different aspect of the 6As of Blanchland, including the graffiti found in the Abbey, the archaeological excavations, acoustic survey and archives.
There will be a mix of presentations by those who led the projects along with activities for you to take part in while enjoying a cuppa.
So pop the dates in your diaries and complete the booking form so we know which events you would like to come along to (you can come to as many or as few as you want).
Thursday 7th March 6.30pm – 8pm Blanchland Abbey Graffiti
See the processed photos taken by Durham University revealing the hidden layers of graffiti carved on the church and around the village, plus the people who left their name on the organ case.
Join in the research by helping Dr David Petts to transcribe the words revealed by the pictures.
You can also sign up to receive the booking form along with newsletters here.
