A series of 4 evenings – each will be an opportunity to look at a different aspect of the 6As of Blanchland, including the graffiti found in the Abbey, the archaeological excavations, acoustic survey and archives.
There will be a mix of presentations by those who led the projects along with activities for you to take part in while enjoying a cuppa.
So pop the dates in your diaries and complete the booking form so we know which events you would like to come along to (you can come to as many or as few as you want).
Thursday 15th February 6.30pm – 8pm – Archaeological Excavations
Hear from Dr Rob Young, with Dr Andrew Newton and Dr Sheila Newton, about the excavations which took place last February and March, what was found in the four trenches, and explore the theories which might solve the mysteries of the ‘marvellous system of drains’ beneath the Abbey floor.
Be the first to hear our plans for more archaeological excavations later this spring.
You can also sign up to receive the booking form along with newsletters here.
