Vox Populi Concert

We’re very excited to be planning new events for Blanchland Abbey, including Vox Populi who will be performing here on a summer’s evening – Friday 21st June, 7pm.

A professional consort of classical singers who regularly perform a wide repertoire, from early Renaissance works to modern choral arrangements of contemporary songs, and have developed a reputation in the North East for their engaging themed programmes and enchanting performances.

In their first concert at Blanchland Abbey, the choir will present a poignant and reflective programme which includes the beautiful choral works of William Byrd, Francis Poulenc, Cecilia McDowall and Herbert Howells.

What amazing voices they will bring into the Abbey!

This concert is free to attend, although donations are welcome on the night.

Refreshments will be available to purchase in The Abbey. Please bring cash from refreshments and donations as there are no card payment facilities (the stone walls are too thick for Wi-Fi!)

There are some steps down into the Abbey. If it’s cold outside, it’s going to be cold inside, so wrap up warm.

Parking in the village carpark and at the Village Hall.
